Heart of the Holidays Downtown Cary A staple to proper Christmas celebration in Cary, the annual Heart of the Holidays is returning to downtown with more opportunities than ever before to get involved. Kick off the season with a full day’s worth of holiday cheer in historic Downtown Cary! • Give unto others this season. Another first-ever, the Town of Cary host a Christmas tree decorating contest with a charitable twist. Dubbed the Gifting Tree Project, Cary organizations can decorate a tree along Academy Street to reflect the theme of giving. The winning tree will receive a donation to the non-profit group of their choice. • Bake a good gingerbread? The Gingerbread House Competition is returning and families, teens and adults are invited to channel their culinary skills into three categories of gingerbread homes. All entries will be on display during the Heart of the Holidays and the winning piece will live at the Cary Arts Center during the month of December. For more information click here. |

Holly Daze Shoppe 120 E. Chatham Street Downtown Cary is getting its first pop-up shop! Pop-up retail, also known as pop-up shop is a trend of opening short-term sales spaces. They exist for a limited duration. The Holly Daze Shoppe is a pop-up shop that will be in Downtown Cary for three weeks during December that will offer opportunities for artists and related vendors to capitalize on the holiday shopping season. St. Nicholas Market Saints Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church Join us for our 5th annual market and parish Open House! St. Michael School Jolly Elf Trail Run Fred G. Bond Metro Park
Join us for our 6th Annual Jolly Elf Trail Run at Cary's Bond Park. As part of the Second Empire GRAND PRIX Series, this fun-filled event includes a competitive 5K, a One Mile Fun Run and a 200 Yard Kid's Dash. This event is a great, healthy way to kick off the holiday season! St. Michael's Jolly Elf Trail Run is a fundraiser for the children's education, along with a holiday themed running event, which includes a DJ, announcer, tasty treats, cheering elves, and the sound of bells ringing as runners make their way through Bond Park. The Night Before Christmas Green Hope High School Carolina Dance Foundation is pleased to present CDC’s Performance Companies’ 5th annual dance adaptation of the beloved holiday tale, The Night Before Christmas.
